INAUGURACION EXPOSICIÓN: (NO) TREURE EL CAP A L’INTERIOR EN EL ESPAI ISERN DALMAU

The Lluís Coromina Isern Foundation and the Miguel Marcos Gallery present [NO] Treure el cap a l’interior, a selection of recent videos by Bernardí Roig (1965) alongside the installation El Cap de Goya (2020).

The exhibition brings together a set of works that inhabit the tension between repeated gesture and the impossibility of redemption.

Solitary bodies confront their own limits, trapped in the circularity of the act. In this purposeless perseverance—almost Sisyphean—a drive of resistance and a desire for insistence are condensed, even when meaning dissolves. Each work is an attempt to embody what escapes: the gaze, desire, identity, flesh that persists even when it has already been denied. These moving images shift with neurotic, ineffective, irrational, untamed, even urinary obstinacy; they form a choreography of the failed act.

The opening will be led by Vicenç Altaió, president of the Brossa Foundation, and Ricard Planas, director of the Lluís Coromina Isern Foundation.

The presentation will take place on Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 PM.
