The painting is the fight against the intangible. This fight was started more than 17.000 years ago, when the painting started in Altamira cavern since today, without any rest and pause. The painting has not holidays because it is far of human beings and it not depends on technologies because it’s universal. With all of these facts, the painting is able to register, concrete and materialize all things of each time, every individual thing and, if want, the skin of our spiritual states.

This faith on painting is not excluding, is unwavering is one of the basis of Galería Miguel Marcos, who have bet on this way of creativity atemporal and infinite. Without pause we would like to share multiple faces of language, of love for painting of our time through eight eminent artists: Chema Cobo, Dennis Hollingsworth, Jonathan Lasker, Fabian Marcaccio, Juan Navarro Baldeweg, Glen Rubsamen, Juan Uslé y José María Yturralde.

What is the common thing between eight painters, born in different places and times with different and personal styles? They redefined pictorial language parting of tradition and their fight consist on transcend pictorial appearances, leaving all complacencies. This exhibition could be possible since the poetry to the universal, but, in fact, there are many itineraries on this exhibition. First of all, could be pass as a beatus ille in the metaphysic landscape of Chema Cobo –Do not cross the Scene, 2009- in allusion to impossible utopia. Maybe by the arcady escenified in a glass by Navarro Baldeweg –Copa azul y ventana, 2003- or the work of Fabián Marcaccio with Rapto de Europa (2009 – 2010), mythological reminiscences appear in this work, which match perfectly with financial world for the use of technology and materials that remember to archaeological materialization of pictorial fact.

This marriage between nature and urban furniture of hyperrealist painter Glen Rubsamen –Sevilla airport, 2001- through chiaroscuro fascine by the heritage of Italian futurism of Juan Uslé – Città aperta, 2006 – 2007, passing by the material accumulations by Dennis Hollingsworth –Been like that, 2009- inspired in Goya’s work and Jonathan Lasker –Expression as an object, 2007, and the big monochrome gradations by José María Yturralde –Posludio, 2000-.

To conclude, more than one way to celebrate the pictorial fact, which allow discover natural and harmonic that hide behind styles, individualities and traditions of painting without pause, in constant movement, like its finding itself.
